SECURITY

Security by architecture, not by marketing copy.

Hansson Vault is designed to protect data and account access through practical controls, clear operations, and privacy-first decisions.

Security principles

  • Encryption-oriented storage model
  • Account ownership with strong access controls
  • Two-factor authentication support, including authenticator apps and hardware security keys
  • Operational transparency through public status visibility
  • Direct support pathways for account and recovery issues

YubiKey and Apple Passkey Support

Hansson Vault supports modern, phishing-resistant sign-in methods including YubiKey hardware security keys and Apple passkeys on iPhone. These methods can enable secure access across supported browsers and devices while reducing repeated exposure of a user's primary password.

  • Use YubiKey hardware keys for stronger possession-based account verification
  • Sign in with Apple passkeys on iPhone and supported Apple devices
  • Reduce repeated password entry and lower phishing and credential-exposure risk
  • Works with compatible WebAuthn and FIDO2 authentication environments

YubiKey is a third-party product of Yubico. Apple, iPhone, and passkeys are third-party technologies. Compatibility depends on browser, operating system, and device support.

Recommended high-security setup

For stronger account resilience, register at least two independent sign-in methods. A practical setup is two YubiKeys, or one YubiKey plus one iPhone passkey, so access can be preserved if one device is lost, unavailable, or damaged. Pair this with a long, unique primary password or passphrase that is difficult to guess and not reused elsewhere.

Stronger account protection

Multi-factor access options help reduce unauthorized sign-in risk for sensitive accounts.

Clear accountability

Status and support channels provide direct visibility when operations matter.

Stable trust model

Security is treated as a continuous operating discipline, not a one-time feature.
